The U.S. Navy is leading the way in the technical and economic testing and validation of microgrid technology as it looks for new ways to bolster the energy security on bases.

RMI’s Electricity Innovation Lab recently held a small workshop with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) to better understand some of the challenges and opportunities it will face as it begins to experiment with microgrids. Learn More
